Greg Cabrera is the creator, and founder of Sound Vault Productions. He is an experienced studio engineer, with an impressive musical background. Raised in Riverside California, Greg is no stranger to the music industry. With Latin Grammy nominated sister, Patty Cabrera, and brother, Sid Cabrera (currently touring with Switchfoot), Greg has constantly been working in the studio on various projects. With two songs on Patty Cabrera's Grammy nominated album, and two LP's of his own Greg is a musical artist in his own right.
Greg began working with Pro Tools in 1994, when he fell in love with tracking, editing, and mixing down tracks for local artists. In Greg's words “mixing down a record is like painting on an unmarked canvas. I can usually hear the vision, and translate that into an audio production.” Greg taught a class on the topic of music production and sound engineering at La Sierra University from 2005-2006.
 When Greg opened Sound Vault Productions in February of 2007, he decided that he wanted a place that catered to artists, with an environment conducive to quality and creativity. When he established a second location in Keene Texas, a small relaxing country town located 30 minutes outside of Dallas and Fort Worth; it was a drastic change from the fast paced Californian streets. This was an atmosphere that he immediately recognized would be appreciated by musicians.
Greg endeavors to create an eclectic atmosphere in which musicians can relax, and tap into their deepest forms of musical expression. If there is one thing that he would like for musicians to understand about his vision, it is that an artist deserves to maintain their originality and creative control when recording in the studio.
Sound Vault Productions was founded in February of 2007. A team of professionals was assembled with the goal of creating a customer oriented approach to the modern day recording studio. Two production facilities are available, each designed with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere to work in. The studio in Keene, Texas is located near Dallas. The Riverside, California facility is close to Los Angeles. The Keene studio is built on seven acres of undisturbed tranquility set against a relaxing country backdrop. Both studios are equipped with full ProTools and state-of-the-art gear.
